Souk Okaz Festival

Event Overview

Souk Okaz traces its roots back more than a thousand years to one of the Arabian Peninsula's most famous pre-Islamic marketplaces and poetry gatherings, revived in its modern form since 2017 as one of Taif's signature cultural festivals. The 2019 edition carried forward that mix of heritage and spectacle, drawing large crowds into the festival grounds for poetry competitions, craft markets, and staged storytelling set against a rebuilt version of the historic souk, all against the backdrop of Taif's mountains at dusk.

Our Role & Delivery

For Rely Industries, our team installed the large-format LED screens used across the festival grounds — the tall portrait displays that lined the main plaza and the wider screens set against the heritage-style backdrop. The brief centred on making sure the visual storytelling read clearly in open desert air at dusk and after dark, giving visitors a consistent, high-impact backdrop as they moved through the festival's different zones.
